Rose's Tribute Fund

Created by Vikki 16 years ago
Welcome to the Rose Hamilton Tribute fund. I have created this page on behalf of myself and the rest of my family, in loving memory of my Grandmother, Rose. As part of my first college course, I had to take an Enterprise class, and it was suggested that we could all pick a charity that we would like to raise money for. I decided that I wanted to raise money for a charity dedicated to helping those with MND, as I couldn’t think of any other cause that I would rather be a part of. I was only about four years old when my grandmother passed away, so setting up a tribute fund seemed like the perfect way to carry on her memory. Born in December 1922, Rose was one of six children. She served as a nurse during the Second World War, and it was during this time that she met my grandfather, Ian, whom she married on the 10th of January 1946. She worked as a nurse for over twenty years, although she took some time off from working when she decided to start her family. She was married to my grandfather for over forty years, and was a mother to three children - Ian, Margaret and Eric. She also had three grandsons - Barry, Greg and Kevin. Her second granddaughter, Sarah, was born after she passed away. She was a kind and caring woman who loved nothing more than spending time with her family, and was well known for her love of cooking. She is sadly missed by all of those that knew her, and she will never be forgotten. Thank you for taking the time to visit this page, and I hope that you will consider making a donation. Any money received is greatly appreciated by myself and my family, and helps raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and MND Scotland so that they can continue their work in treating and caring for those with MND, but also in researching the causes of MND in the hope of finding a cure. Please also feel free to share any photos or memories that you have. These would also be appreciated. Thank you, Vikki Hamilton
